DiMatteo Vineyards and Winery is located in a major farming area in Southern New Jersey. Frank V. DiMatteo III, who has worked on farms since he was 12 years old, always enjoyed making wine with his father and his uncles. In 2000, he and his father decided to combine farming and winemaking to create DiMatteo Vineyards. After planting grape vines on his farm in Hammonton, DiMatteo Vineyards was built. The winery opened for business in the fall of 2002.
DiMatteo Vineyards has been working very hard ever since its opening to produce a greater variety of wines and add them to its wine list while enlarging both its number and variety of grapes. The white wines produced by DiMatteo Vineyards are Chardonnay, Diamond, Jersey White, Niagara, and Traminette. The red wines are Chambourcin, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Jersey Red, Pasquale Red, and Red Table Wine. Additionally, DiMatteo Vineyards offers a wide variety of fruit wines, including Blueberry, Cranberry, Strawberry, and Plum wine. In 2004, both the Blueberry and Traminette wines won Bronze medals from the Garden State Wine Growers Association. In 2005, Chambourcin was awarded with a silver medal while Pasquale Red and Merlot won bronze medals. More.....
